Switch off usage sharing.

  1. Open The Blocker.
  2. Go to the app’s Settings.
  3. Turn off Share anonymous usage.

This stops future app usage events and clears the queued events and random installation identifier on your device. It does not immediately erase server records already sent; our analytics event retention is 180 days.

If you bought Pro while sharing was on, Apple may continue to send purchase notifications associated with that purchase’s earlier identifier. The usage-sharing switch does not cancel a purchase or subscription.

Choose your local features.

Activity and the rescue page

You can disable The Blocker’s optional Stats extension in Safari’s extension settings. Leave the separate content blocker enabled to keep website blocking. Disabling Stats stops its local checks, counting and rescue-page features; it is not a button for clearing existing records.

Challenge progress

To delete current local challenge progress, open the challenge, choose Leave challenge and confirm. The confirmation in the app explains what will be removed.

iCloud & removing the app.

You can turn off private iCloud sync in The Blocker’s Settings. This stops future syncing but does not automatically delete data already in iCloud. Apple’s iCloud and backup controls govern cloud copies; contact support if you need help identifying what to remove.

Removing the app removes its local app data, while iCloud copies, device backups and previously sent server events may remain. There is no The Blocker login account to close.

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Use Apple’s subscription controls, described on our purchase help page.

Ask about your data.

To request access, correction or deletion of information you shared with us, email the address below with the subject The Blocker privacy request. Tell us which information you mean, such as a support email conversation. Send only what is needed to explain the request.

We cannot view your local rules, browsing activity, challenge answers or private iCloud content. Usage events use a random installation identifier rather than your email; if that identifier has been removed, identifying your old events may not be possible. We will explain what can be located and handled.
