The Blocker is an independent iPhone and iPad app made by Hossam Hamouda. It blocks adult sites in Safari for free, and in every browser with Pro’s Strong protection. It has no account and no ads. The guides on this site are written by the developer, checked against the app’s own code and Apple’s documentation, and dated.
Because the developer writes these pages, they are not neutral reviews. We say so on every page, link our sources, and state what The Blocker can’t do.
Who makes it
Hossam Hamouda designs, builds and supports The Blocker. There is no investor, no ad network and no data business behind it: the app is paid for by people who choose Pro. Support emails are answered by the developer.
How the pages are written
- App facts come from the app. Every claim about The Blocker is checked against the code of the version on the App Store, and the page says which version and when.
- Apple facts come from Apple. Settings names and behaviour are taken from Apple’s support pages and user guides, which we link. Where Apple doesn’t document something, we say that instead of guessing.
- Other apps are described fairly. Comparison pages show the date we checked, link the other app’s own pages, list its real strengths, and say that The Blocker is not affiliated with it.
- No invented numbers. No made-up reviews, ratings or results.
- No medical or religious rulings. Recovery pages are practical; where scholars or doctors are quoted, they are named and linked.
Privacy, in one paragraph
Blocking happens on your iPhone. The app has no account and no ads. It can send anonymous usage steps (like “turned on Safari blocking”) to help fix setup problems — never the sites you block or visit — and you can turn that off in Settings. This website sets no cookies. Read the privacy policy.
