If you want to quit porn, The Blocker removes the easy door and helps at the hard moment. Adult sites are blocked in Safari from the first launch, free. A free 30-day challenge counts clean days without ever sending you back to zero. With Pro, Strong protection blocks adult sites in every browser and in links inside apps, can stop the app being deleted, and can lock everything for an hour.

Written by the developer of The Blocker, from the app’s own code (version 2.9), 21 October 2026. A blocker is a tool, not treatment; if you feel stuck or distressed, talking to a doctor or a licensed counsellor helps.

1. Close the easy door

Install the app and turn it on in Safari; the app takes you to the right switch and checks it worked. Tap Test it to see blocking with your own eyes. Then add Apple’s own filter, Limit Adult Websites, as a second layer: step-by-step setup.

2. Close the other doors

Other browsers and links opened inside social apps don’t use Safari’s rules. Pro’s Strong protection uses Apple’s Screen Time to block adult sites there too, keeps apps you pick closed, and — with Can’t delete The Blocker — stops a 2 am deletion. For a lock you can’t undo alone, ask someone you trust to keep your Screen Time passcode: how to make it hard to turn off.

3. Get through the hard moment

  • The 30-day challenge (free): a slip marks its day, never your whole effort. How it works.
  • The rescue page (free, with the Stats extension): a blocked site in Safari becomes a breathing circle and your own reason.
  • Hard moment (Pro): one tap blocks every website and your blocked apps for an hour, and it can’t be ended early.
  • A delay to unblock (Pro): turning protection off waits 10, 30 or 60 seconds, long enough for an urge to pass.

Nights are often the hardest part: what to do when urges hit at night.

No account, no reports

There is no account and nobody gets a report. Your challenge, reason and answers stay on your iPhone. If you want a person to see your activity, an accountability app suits you better — compare in The Blocker vs Covenant Eyes.
