There is no single best app to quit porn; choose by the help you need. For streaks, lessons and a community, look at QUITTR, Brainbuddy or Fortify; for a small private group, Relay; for a partner who keeps you accountable, Victory by Covenant Eyes, Canopy or BlockerX. To keep adult sites out of reach, add a blocker such as The Blocker (private, no account, with a free 30-day challenge), or a pause before apps with one sec. You can also pair one of each: a plan and people for the long run, and a blocker for the weak moments.

Written by the developer of The Blocker, which is on this list, so we have a bias. The Blocker is not affiliated with any other app here. Facts and US App Store prices checked 21 October 2026 from each app’s listing and, where we could open it, its website. Apps are grouped by kind, not ranked; we did not test them, and we do not show star ratings. Prices change.

Four kinds of help

  • Trackers and programs count your days and add goals, lessons and a community: QUITTR, Brainbuddy, Fortify.
  • Groups put you with a few people on the same path: Relay.
  • Accountability brings in a person you choose, through reports, alerts or approvals: Victory by Covenant Eyes, Canopy, BlockerX.
  • Blockers and pauses stop or slow the way to adult sites and apps: The Blocker, BlockerX, one sec.

If you searched for a “nofap app”, you probably mean a streak tracker from the first group. Only want a blocker? See porn blockers for iPhone compared.

Each app in brief

QUITTR

A recovery app with streaks, a community, lessons, an AI helper called Melius, a panic button and an “Advanced Blocker” (QUITTR). Full access needs a subscription, and its privacy label lists identifiers and usage data as “Data Used to Track You” (App Store).

Relay

A group program: a small private group, video lessons, daily check-ins, a 15-minute call in week 1 and optional live Zoom meetings, with separate groups for men and women (App Store). Its website says $149 a year, and that Relay “isn’t a replacement for therapy, and it works well alongside one” (Relay).

Fortify

A program that starts with a personal assessment, then gives videos, challenges, goal tracking, coaching, a community and teletherapy, per its listing (App Store).

Brainbuddy

A 100-day education program with progress tracking, a community and a blocker. Its listing notes that all features need a paid Premium subscription after onboarding (App Store).

Victory by Covenant Eyes

Check-ins, mini-courses and a community are free in the Victory app; blocking and screen accountability come with a paid plan through Victory Shield, which “requires a Victory Account” (Victory, Victory Shield, prices). It is made for Christians. More in The Blocker vs Covenant Eyes.

Canopy

An AI filter that checks images, videos and websites, with a “Myself” plan that includes an accountability partner feature, plus parental controls (pricing, App Store). On iPhone it installs a device-management (MDM) profile (Canopy).

BlockerX

A blocker with an accountability partner, daily reports, a community and a panic switch. A subscription unlocks all features, and its privacy label lists purchases, identifiers and usage data as “Data Used to Track You” (App Store). Full comparison: BlockerX alternative.

one sec

Adds a short pause before apps you choose, using Shortcuts automations, and has a free Safari extension; one app is free, and its listing names adult content among common uses (App Store). Its website says “Essentials are free” (one sec).

The Blocker

The private blocker with a free 30-day challenge and no account. Free: adult-site blocking in Safari, up to 10 sites of your own, the 30-day challenge with check-ins, and a calm rescue page in Safari when you hit a blocked site (with its optional Stats extension on). Pro’s Strong protection uses Apple’s Screen Time to block adult sites in every browser and in links inside apps, can stop The Blocker being deleted, and adds a one-hour Hard moment. It has no lessons, community or partner. See pricing.

Pairing a program with a blocker

Several apps here already bundle both: QUITTR and Brainbuddy include a blocker, BlockerX adds a community, and Covenant Eyes splits the job into two apps, Victory for check-ins and Victory Shield for blocking. A program gives you a plan and people; a blocker covers the moments when you are tired or alone.

If your program has no blocker, or you want blocking without an account, a simple setup is: your tracker or group, plus The Blocker in Safari (free) or every browser (Pro), plus a Screen Time passcode held by someone you trust. We have not tested these apps together.

When an app isn’t enough

If this is hurting your sleep, work, studies or relationships, or you keep trying to stop and can’t, talk to a doctor or a licensed therapist. Apps can support that help; they don’t replace it. After a slip, read what to do after a relapse.

Questions people ask

What is the best app to quit porn?

There isn’t one best app for everyone. Pick by the help you need: a tracker or program (QUITTR, Brainbuddy, Fortify), a group (Relay), a partner (Victory by Covenant Eyes, Canopy, BlockerX) or a blocker (The Blocker, one sec). You can also use a program and a blocker together.

Is there a free app to quit porn?

Some help is free. The Blocker’s free version blocks adult sites in Safari and includes the 30-day challenge; Pro’s Strong protection adds every browser. one sec is free for one app, and the Victory app’s check-ins, courses and community are free. QUITTR, Brainbuddy and BlockerX need a subscription for full access. Apple’s Screen Time filter costs nothing too: see free ways to block porn on iPhone.

What is a nofap app?

People use the phrase for a streak tracker: an app that counts days without porn and adds goals, lessons and a community. QUITTR, Brainbuddy and Fortify work this way. Check whether yours also blocks adult sites; if it doesn’t, add a blocker.

Which of these apps work without an account?

The Blocker needs no account. Victory Shield says it “requires a Victory Account”, and Canopy asks you to create one. For the other apps, check the listing or the first screens of the app.
